Boise, ID (CBS2) — "We're thrilled to be able to bring the library to more members of our community through the bookmobile," said Nampa Library Director Claire Connley. "We believe that access to books and other resources is critical for everyone, and the bookmobile allows us to make those resources more easily accessible."
On Wednesday, March 15 from 3:30- 4:30 pm, the Nampa Public Library will be unavailing its new bookmobile. The event will be at the Nampa Public Library and includes speakers, live entertainment by ELRO from the Idaho Charter School, as well as swag from the library, a hot dog cart, and refreshments.
The 24-foot-long Sprinter van is equipped with 3,000 items including modern technology, a wide selection of books, audiobooks, and other materials. The Bookmobile will be a WIFI hotspot and have laptops for on-site checkout and use. It also will have maker and STEM technology (i.e. 3D printers and robots) to remote locations.
