At Ka Wa‘a luau, hula performances include the ancient kahiko and attendees are treated to storytelling and song in the enchanting style of the Disney resort at Ko Olina, Oahu.
For the first time since its launch in November, Ka Wa’a luau at Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa is open to locals and travelers.
With Disney’s commitment to rich storytelling, isle history buffs and Mouseketeers alike are invited to experience the exhilarating and enchanting journey of Hawaiian history, and discover the deep cultural roots involving canoe (wa’a) exploration, which brought the Polynesians to the great shores of Hawaii.
The evening festivities take place at the Halawai Lawn — where you will be surrounded by lush greenery, warm island breezes and gorgeous evening skies.
Upon arrival, you’re greeted with a lei and introduced to a variety of pre-show activities such as kapa printing, flower arranging, temporary kakau tattoos and pa’a ai pounding of the taro.
Truly a feast, an epicurean Hawaiian and island buffet is presented. The lavish spread includes a carving station with suckling pig and prime rib, fresh local seafood, and other authentic fare, family-friendly offerings, kids’ selections and a decadent dessert bar.

Modern ‘auana hula performances are also included.
As friends and family gather around the table, so begins an enchanting evening of storytelling, song and traditional Hawaiian dance — including hula kahiko and modern hula ‘auana styles that will delight.
The Walt Disney Imagineers worked hand in hand with local artisans and cultural experts to create Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa.
